Second Wind begins and I have a slow month

As mentioned in the last email, all the video staff left The Escapist and formed Second Wind, including me. I have a slightly better picture of what that will look like: Second Wind’s Youtube channel has started releasing videos, livestreams are happening regularly on both Youtube and Twitch, and there are plans to do a short form video review show similar to the one I used to do for The Escapist.

However, that review show will likely start in February next year. For now, I’m only a possible guest for Second Wind streams, so I’m essentially out of work until next year except for a part time job I picked up. The job is not a creative one, which sucks, but it’ll pay my bills until Second Wind picks up and I work out some other income sources.

In early November, I released the Thirsty Suitors 3MR, and the Star Ocean 2 3MR. Neither are still available on Youtube unfortunately, and I don’t know if they’ll be rereleased yet.

I did a little contracting for a game developer as a mock reviewer, but that’s just for them. So I didn’t release anything else in November.

However! Since I’m a day late posting this, here’s a sneak peek at December: A piece I wrote for the Epic Games Store about Keywe.

I failed at getting out my next Youtube video in a timely manner, but it’s very nearly done. My goal is to have more to write in next month’s newsletter, but also to survive what is sure to be a strange month for me.
