One Year of Second Wind!
It was Second Wind’s one year anniversary last month! A year ago in early November we all quit our jobs or got fired from our previous publication and started this reader funded endeavor, and it has gone quite well overall!
I was on stream playing Golf With Your Friends to celebrate the anniversary, which you can watch by clicking this link (I was on at approximately 7 hours and 9 minutes into the stream, and this link should take you to that timecode). I wouldn’t necessarily recommend watching the whole replay unless you love watching minigolf, but it was fun to be a part of and many jokes were had.
There are a number of new series being launched, so it should be another good year for Second Wind.
Other things I did since the last newsletter:
I reviewed Necroking, a decent little autobattling deckbuilder. I liked it, but it also felt pointless overall.
I reviewed Rogue Waters, a tactical roguelite which I found very well made and enjoyable. If you like pirates, check this one out.
Finally, I reviewed Metal Slug Tactics, which was a lot of fun initially, but quickly became stale.
Outside of that, I’ve been making good progress on a couple of secret projects. Due to retail work being so busy, they probably won’t be done until January, but I am getting there.
That’s all for this update! Given that things are moving slowly, this is probably the last newsletter for 2024, so Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate, and I’ll see you next year for a yearly review newsletter, and hopefully many more videos for you to watch.
